ARTIST STATEMENT
A celebration of birth, life & death
My work consist of things and space, a dance
between two dimensions that make up reality: thingness
and no thingness.
Through my creative actions I bring something new into this world that
is life enhancing for myself as well as others.
This may be a work of art or a piece of music. When my attention is
fully in the Now that life force will flow into and transform what I do.
Something will come forth from that dimension into this world something that
otherwise would have
remained unmanifested.
Every moment is an opportunity to connect with this life force, enjoy
it, celebrate it, accept as it is, watch it without
attachment.
Lives wil come Deaths will come.
Dance, play, sing, love and let go.
CLOAKED
IN LIFE
This show is an exploration of speed, sound,
light and energy. Our life is full with plans, ideas, must dos and don’ts.
Painting is my way of dropping the cloak and getting naked with no
pre-conceived structures, plans or control. In this way, my actions are
recorded in their most naïve state and in the end I am left with a book of
stories on the wall that portray the flux of doing and not doing, control and
letting go, loud and quiet.
I like to become invisible with my physical
body and infuse myself into the process and onto the
canvasses and media. Colour is often the only ‘feeling’ I use to ignite the
starting of each piece and instinct is what drives the creation till
completion.
‘Cloaked in Life’ captures the speed of
emotions that change continually, the sound of thoughts and the light of pearl
white. It’s the unscripted journey of what is at the core of Life. Light & Energy.
